Margaret PhillipsMargaret Phillips has been a tenured professor of pharmacology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School since 2002. She received her BS in biochemistry from the University of California Davis in 1981, and her PhD in pharmaceutical chemistry from the University of California San Francisco in 1988. She is a currently an Editor of Eukaryotic Cell. She previously served on several panels, including Medicines for Malaria Venture’s Expert Scientific Advisory Committee (2006-2011) and NIH TMP/PTHE study section (2000-2005; 2009-2012). She has published 106 scientific articles. She is the author of several patent applications on dihydroorotate dehydrogenase inhibitors with selective anti-malarial activity.
